About the syndicate
The Damascus Medical syndicate on the principle that medicine is a humanitarian mission before it is a professional occupation, with the goal of preventing disease, treating patients, and rehabilitating them for active participation in society. Therefore, the association undertakes the task of regulating the practice of medicine, overseeing physicians' adherence to laws and professional ethics, and ensuring the fair and balanced provision of medical services in the public, private, and joint sectors.

Syndicate Council
The Damascus branch of the Doctors Syndicate is managed by an elected council of physicians, comprising the president, secretary, treasurer, and several members. This council is responsible for developing plans, making decisions, and overseeing the implementation of syndicate activities and services.
It is assisted by several specialized committees, such as the Committee for the Defense of Doctors' Rights, the Continuing Medical Education Committee, the Social and Economic Committee, the Scientific Research Committee, and other committees that work to raise the standards of the profession and improve the conditions of doctors and the healthcare services provided to citizens.
